SCM Specialist International

We are a global provider of relocation and assignment management programs to the world wide corporate community. We are recruiting the following role at our Corporate Office in Whippany New Jersey.

We are looking to strengthen our Supply Chain Management team with the role of a Specialist, International Household Goods Logistics Costing & Client Pricing. If you are energetic and customer driven and thrive on hard work and responsibility, you are the right person to join our team of Procurement professionals. Your primary responsibility will be the management of our Rate Quote System, rate negotiation for International HHG's and Logistics Services, effectively negotiate competitiveness rates with International HHG's agents and partners, negotiate competitiveness rates with logistics partners including steamship lines, trucking companies, airlines, air freight consolidators etc, entering into SAP and maintaining all pricing data, responding to Client quote requests. You will also liaise with our Global Providers, Corporate Departments and Business Unit Teams.

As the successful candidate, you will have: 

• Minimum of 3 years experience of international household goods move management/freight forwarding is a must. 
• Proven experience managing transportation rate management and thorough understanding of global rate tariffs.
• Strong Analytical skills.
• Proven problem solving and conflict resolution capabilities.
• The ability to exercise sound judgment.
• Experience with developing and negotiating contracts, global contracts preferably.

In addition to the above you will possess excellent customer service, a high energy level and ability to work to deadlines. Solid organizational and time management skills with, the ability to work in a fast paced environment is essential. Excellent communication skills both written and verbal, good problem solving skills and attention to detail is a must. A head for numbers and strong computer skills (Excel, Word, Outlook) is necessary. SAP knowledge would be a definite asset.
